So often we sit back, stuck in our emotions and the mire of the day that we forget, our soul purpose is to just be.  We sit around waiting for our lives to happen to us when in reality, it is happening every second.  You can no more control your life than you can control a sunrise.  You can make a plan for what you would like to have happen and work everything in accordance with that plan, but sometimes, the universe has other procedures for us in mind.

I am very guilty of this lately, I keep looking around for life to happen to me and in reality, it is happening.  Driving up to Oregon and seeing the amazing sunsets and the super tall trees and then the fog around the bend, you begin to realize that life is more than always about you. Social media can take us away from this view because we get so wrapped up in what everyone else is doing and if they "seem" to be having more fun than us, well then our life surely is boring, mundane and meaningless. When you get to this point (as I have), just detach for a bit.  Go for a run, take the kids for a walk.  Listen to the sounds around you rather than trying to mask them with sounds of music.  Get reconnected to this place and focus on the energy that has been here for years.  Focus on what matters and breathe.

Your life only needs to be amazing to you and no one else.  We are called individuals for a reason.  We see, feel, hear and perceive things differently than say your friends, girlfriends/boyfriends, husband/wife and/or children.  Things vibrate with us on different levels and hence the reason, you may find a song to be brilliant, and those around you sometimes don't find that same appreciation.  Be individual, be unique, be love.  Vibrate at your highest frequency, regardless of what those around you are doing. You are unique, regardless of your situation.

  • Sit in silence and call to you the part that resists being tamed (uniqueness) and affirm it

  • Breathe in the air that surrounds you and allow yourself to be cared for when you need to (embrace it)

  • Breathe freely and give thanks for who you are and that you don't have to be like everyone else
