Amazing people on my journey: Cassie Frye

A gorgeous angel called home too soon
It's was a somber day in the Bordes car yesterday. It was hard to drive yesterday morning without breaking into tears every 10 minutes.  One of my very close friends, Erik lost the love of his life. Words can't really describe what I'm feeling it's a painful yet joyful experience. Joyful in the sense that the person is no longer in pain but painful in that this person is no longer with us.

We go through life thinking that it's forever oftentimes stressing reading about this bill that bill or where we're going to be living in 6 months for what vacation we're going to take next year when in truth we need to be living for this moment and only this moment. There is no other moment.

I've known Erik since I was about 22 years old. I dated his babysitter for several months after a bad breakup.  I never knew if Erik hated me for so many years because I unplugged his nintendo when he had the highest score ever on a video game.  Erik ended up becoming really good friends with my little brother Jake.  I didn't follow on facebook until about 2009.  I believe we reconnected in 2009 or 2010.  Erik started with "I aint mad at cha"  and after that we hugged and began to share the love.

I am not sure exactly when I was introduced to Cassie.  Possibly in 2011 when moving up to be with my mom.  Erik invited me over and I was greeted by the lovely goddess Cassie.  To say she was stunning was an understatement.  Her presence was so strong and loving, it can be compared to nothing I have ever felt.  Immediately she welcomed me in and gave me a massive hug.  Her hugs were genuine and full of love and you felt connected instantaneously. She welcomed me into her home and offered tea or water.  I remember feeling like she could brighten the darkest space or void with her energy.

Years passed and numerous occasions Erik and Cassie would invite me over to their house for festivities of love, music and connection. I always left feeling spiritually nourished and full in the belly. I was happy to see Erik happy.  Cassie brought out a calmness and a side of love that I didn't know existed in him.  She was the yin to his yang.  She was the purr to his roar.  She was the calmness in his storm.

Often in times like these we can be in disbelief, awe, sadness and anger.  There are often many emotions to deal with. One of the first things that came into my head was "whats the point of it all?"  But I was answered by the same question, the point of it all is the answer. Consciousness, spirituality, life, and breath are all the gift.  People will come and people will go.  Cherish the moments...be present. Stop checking your phone. Stop trying to take the perfect selfie. Stop checking your messages and check in.

This life is so brief and such a gift. Those you love will be gone in the blink of an eye. Cherish them...daily.  Cassie...thank you for teaching me to be a more loving and present person.  Thank you for sharing your love with my friend Erik.  Thank you for giving me hope that relationships work and stay close to Erik.  You are an angel and your magical presence will be missed by many.  Thank you for welcoming me in.

I will leave you with this dream that Cassie had in July:
WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN WHEN WE PRAY?
By Cassie Frye, July 3, 2017
I dreamed that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.
My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station.
To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section," my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed.
"How is it that there is no work going on here? I asked."
"So sad," the angel sighed.
"After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments."
"How does one acknowledge God's blessings? "I asked.
"Simple," the angel answered. Just say, "Thank you, Lord."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world."
"If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy, and if you get this on your mobile, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness. You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day."
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation... You are ahead of 700 million people in the world."
"If you can attend a place of worship without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world."
"If your parents are still alive and still married... you are very rare."
"If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair......."
"Ok," I said. "What now? How can I start?"
The Angel said, "If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all."
"Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you care to, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are."
