In response to my first blog: http://chadbordes.com/2010/05/02/dear-delta-airlines/ So i got a response today. I was so excited…wait a minute. Delta responded to my concern. They didn't respond at all. Looks like they took a generic "I'm sorry" and added some stuff about "recent email exchange"????? Hello, this was my first email exchange with them, unless you want to count the one where I had to complain about the two Hawaiian airlines flights, in which, Delta has a sky miles partnership with, and I can accrue mileage towards status on Delta, but the class of service was not correct. Bye bye 12k miles. Anyhow, here is what delta said: Dear Mr. Bordes, Thank you for your e-mail to Delta Air Lines. In regards to your e-mail, we apologize about you dissatisfaction with the changes of the Skymiles program changes. And we will be sure to forward any suggestions over to the skymiles Administration department. I appreciate your additional comments concerning...

Is it me?

So yesterday and the day before, I felt a head cold coming on. It was a hard hitter, but I roughed it out. 2 full days of hard labor, in the form of shoveling and moving dirt by the tons. Having a cold of any sort is draining because your body is working overtime to maintain homeostasis. Doing physical labor, may or may not be good for that end. The definitive results (in my book) are inconclusive. So this morning I woke up and noticed that this cold is working it's way to my chest. Most people would say " you should go to the doctor", however since I have no insurance, I say screw it and will hop on my trusty steed (aka my fuji) and barrel out some miles. Again this may not be adviseable, however, I tend not to listen to advice---call me crazy, but if you don't know by now, I am a bit unconventional. I hope to hack up a lung or two. Maybe see some amazing scenery and just be in this moment, because in reality, it's all we have Until next time...

Pushing Through

Sometimes we don't know how we are going to get there. We see all of the obstacles that keep us from whatever the goal is. We think of all that isn't, instead of all that is. We make excuses and say it isn't possible. What if you could change all that? What if you saw doorways opening, the universe aligning and possibilities expanding? What is stopping you from seeing things the latter way? Its your mind. These past few weeks have been tough for me. I have had to let go of control of many things and one of them being, that I am really not in control of anything. I am present and in the moment and try to find joy in all things that surround me. Financially, my life is a wreck. I am not sure if I will be able to scrape together funds to pay my rent, as well as car note, school loans, credit card and groceries and put gas in my tank. What I can only focus on right now. I am not sure about what or where my future will take me. I am not in control of that. I cannot t...

Getting Refreshed...

So it has been a while since i have written.  So much has happened.  I have been traveling a bunch for work as a td.  I am on the advisory board for a company called INTDonline.com.  I have been helping check the site and driving TD's to join as well as event planning companies.  What is funny is that I have been preaching that TD's suffer from what they tolerate and that we need a union of sorts or some place we can go to get work, vent, talk about companies and try and get some resolve to unfair labor practices.  Next thing you know i am helping with this company and i love it I have also been working on my Communications company, www.trubluecom.com.  We are comin g along and getting stuff done.  We now have the ability to accept credit cards and are becoming a global company.  We took our first order over the internet and it is awesome to see your dream coming to fruition.  Patience is a virtue and I can tell you that i have never been one for patience.  I have always wanted...
