Movie Review: The Holiday

4 out of 5 stars

Went and saw this with some friends last night. Needless to say, I think Daniel and I thought for sure we were getting into a chick flick. Well we were. It was great. Great cast although, JB was trying to be his usual self and couldn't. In all there was great chemistry in the movie. Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, JB and Kate Winslet. I don't say this often...maybe i do. I am not a huge fan of Cameron, but she was really good in this movie. She actually played a convincing part. Jude Law...well lets say, i know why fatima was attracted to him. Hes hot. He is also a great actor and I really liked his part in this movie.

Kate Winslet did an exceptional job of being the lover from afar. She had a long lasting love for a gentleman named Jasper who ended up getting engaged and still wanting to see Kate winslet. For those of you who don't know, the premise is that Cameron diaz has just broken up with her boyfriend of 4 years and decides to take a vacation, Kate is in London and finds out that the man she loves has just gotten engaged to someone other than herself. Cameron decides to go on vacation and ends up staying in Kate Winslet's house in London and Kate comes to LA to live in Cameron's lavish home.

From here the laughter starts and chemistry between characters begins to take shape. You actually fall in love with everyone in the movie. The movie will make you laugh, it will make you think, and it for sure will make you a bit sad. This is the "Love Actually" of the year. I loved this movie and would highly reccommend it. No matter if you have ever been in a relationship, long or short term, you will be able to relate to this movie. Go out and see it. Great date movie.

Until next time...
